McLaren’s Christmas Pudding returns to Borough Market this festive season, bringing with it the award-winning, family recipe that has earned a loyal following. Sandra McLaren founded the business with a simple aim: to create a Christmas pudding that feels indulgent rather than heavy. Using butter instead of suet, their puddings have a notably lighter, creamier texture. Each one is slowly matured and packed with zesty oranges, lemons, prunes, flaked almonds and winter spices. A generous measure of French brandy and Guinness stout is added before the puddings are left for at least six months, developing real depth and complexity. The result has been recognised with a Great Taste double gold star.
